VARCA: Sao Jose de Areal Sports Club edged past United Sports Club of Seraulim, 5-3 via the tie-breaker to move into the quarter-finals of Varca Panchayat Cup football tournament, organised by Varca Sports Club on Monday.
Both the teams played short passes and the final score was goalless at full time.
In the tie-breaker, San Jose de Areal scored through Raymond Fernandes, Vellington Faleiro, Tyson Carvalho, Liston D’Costa and Clifford Soares while United Sports Cub Seraulim, converted through Senatro Fernandes, Ashley Fernandes and Alaric Da Cunha.
Sao Jose de Areal’s Tyson Carvalho was adjudged as the Man-of-the-match.
