MAPUSA: Saraswat Vidyalaya High School, Khorlim defeated Don Bosco HS, Panjim by 44 runs to emerge North District Champions in the Boys U-16 tournament, organised by Goa Cricket Association and played at Binani ground, Colvale on Wednesday.
Electing to bat first, Saraswat were bundled out for 206 39.3 overs. Om Madgaonkar 27, Anish Sinai Lotlecar 51, Rudrakshy Sangodkar 34, Yash Tar 14 and Pravesh Mayekar 16 were the top runs getter for the Saraswat.
In reply, Don Bosco were restricted to 162 runs in 37 overs.
Only three batsmen could score double figures — Harsh Sethaji 62, Vishnu 16 and Sairam 11.
Man-of-the-Match award went to Anish Sinai Lotlecar, who scored 51 runs of Saraswat.
