SIRLIM: Sarzora Sports Club blanked Tilamol United 4-0 to move into the quarter-finals of the 22nd Our Lady of Merces 8-a-side football tournament organised by Sirlim Sports Club, at Our Lady of Hope church, Chinchinim ground, on Sunday.
Tilamol missed some early chances through Alvino Carvalho and Diago Oliveira in the third and sixth minute.
It was Franky Oliveira of Sarzora who opened the score-line with a snap shot off Chadel Fernandes’ connect in the tenth minute.
Five minutes later, Chadel Fernandes doubled the lead for Sarzora.
As the match progressed in the 25th minute, Sarzora’s Stevan Fernandes’ made it 3-0.
Later in the second half, Sarzora further inflated the lead through substitute Myron Ferrao, after foxing three Tilamol defenders to take a power-packed shot which crushed into the Tilamol net in the 69th minute.
Sarzora SC will now meet CDJ Ribandar in the quarter-finals on August 3.
