MARGAO: Savita Pavto Velip, student of Cuncolim Education Society’s College of Arts & Commerce has been selected in the India Kho Kho team for the 12th South Asian Games 2016 which is to be held at Guwahati, Assam.
The President of All Goa Kho Kho Association, Gokuldas Shirodker has informed that Savita is the only Goan girl to be selected for kho kho national team.
Gokuldas further informed that Savita will be attending the National coaching camp at Sai Western Centre, Sector 15, Gandhinagar Gujarat from December 28 to January 18.
Savita has represented Goa several times for National championships. She has performed impressively at the recent National championship held at Sholapur, Maharashtra.
Chairman of All Goa Kho Kho Association, Narayan (Nana) Bandekar congratulated Savita on her selection.
