CURCHOREM: Sanvordem Gymkhana beat Mathura Farm and Sports by 11 runs in the inaugural match of “Patrakar Chashak 2020”, the 13th All Goa White Season Ball T20 cricket tournament, organised by Sanvordem Gymkhana Sports Cultural Association (SGSCA) and Sports Authority of Goa (SAG) in collaboration with Sanguem-Quepem Patrakar Sangh (SQPS), Curchorem, at SAG ground, Curchorem, on Sunday.
Sanvordem scored 138/8 in 18 overs and Mathura 127/8. Roshan Naik of Sanvordem Gymkhana was declared the man-of-the-match.
In another match CQS Scoring Willows defeated Kalem Boys by 6 wickets.
CQS scored 112/6 in 17 overs and Kalem 111/ 18 overs. Sarvesh Kudchadkar of CQS declared man-of-the-match.
Earlier, Power Minister Nilesh Cabral inaugurated the tournament. Former Sanguem MLA Subhash Fal Dessai, CCMC Councillor Balkrishna (Pinty) Hodarkar, Sanvordem Sarpanch Sandeep Pawaskar, Social Worker Santosh Phal Dessai, SAG Curchorem incharge John Fernandes and SQPS President Prahar Sawardekar were also present.
