RAIA: Narendra K. Sawaikar, Commissioner for NRI Affairs, Government of Goa, & Ex-LS MP was unanimously re-elected as the president of Goa Athletics Association (GAA) at the Annual General Body Meeting at Athletics Stadium, Bambolim, Goa held on Saturday.
Elections were monitored by the observers of Athletics Federation of India (AFI) Muralidhar and Goa Olympics Association (GOA), Jaiwant H with Adv Gaurang Panandikar as the Returning Officer.
Narendra K Sawaikar exhorted the members to work unitedly and vigorously for the promotion of athletics and young athletes in the state. He said he was grateful to the members for reposing faith in him yet once again and promised to do his best for the upliftment of Athletics in the state of Goa.
Sawaikar said that GAA should support the Goa Government in organisation of National Games 2023 with the upgraded state-of-the-art synthetic/tartan track at Bambolim.
