PANJIM: SBT beat Air India by 8 wickets to book their place in the semi-final of the ONGC AIPSSPB against FCI, at GCA ground, on Wednesday.
Electing to bat first, Air India posted a total of 133 for the loss of 7 wickets in 20 overs with Rajesh Sharma scoring 51 runs in 41 balls.
Abhishek Mohan and Vinod Kumar impressed with the ball taking 2 wickets each for SBT.
In reply, SBT reached the target in 13.5 overs with Vishnu Vinod scoring 67 runs in 32 balls.
Gaurav Kumar and Harpreet Singh took 1 wicket each for Air India.
In other matches State Bank of Patiala (SBP), HAL and Airports Authority of India registered resounding victories in their respective encounters on the third day of the ONGC AIPSSPB T-20 cricket tournament.
SBP defeatd NLC India by 10 wickets at GCA ground.
Batting first, NLC posted 52 for the loss of 10 wickets in 12.2 overs with Sunjitia Sahu scoring 23 runs in 27 balls.
Tampreetinder Singh and Varun Khanna were the top wicket takers for SBP, taking three wickets each.
SBP chased down the target in just 5.3 overs without losing any wickets with Vishwas Bhalla scoring 33 runs in 21 balls.
In another match, HAL beat NIA by nine wickets.
Electing to bat first, NIA posted a total of 95 for the loss of 2 wickets in the allotted 20 overs with Neel Kadam scoring 54 runs in 55 balls.
In reply, HAL managed to reach the target in 13.3 overs by the loss of 1 wicket.
Nikhil Parwar was the only wicket taker for NIA.
In the second match at the same venue, HPCL scored 17-run win over CIL.
Batting first, HPCL scored 151 for the loss of 6 wickets in 20 overs with Vaibhav Kalamkar scoring 49 runs.
Sushant Mirdha and Rahul Singh took two wickets each for CIL.
In reply, CIL managed to score 134 for the loss of 7 wickets in 20 overs with Kartar Satnama scoring 33 runs. Santosh Shetty was the top wicket taker for HPCL taking three wickets.
AAI scored a massive 147-run win over MTNL at Arlem ground.
AAI posted a total of 210 for the loss of 4 wickets in 20 overs with Vikas Rana scoring 83 runs in 51 balls.
Ravindra Panwar took 2 wickets.
MTNL could only manage a total of 63 for the loss of 7 wickets in 20 overs.Amit Singh was the top scorer for MTNL scoring 17 runs.
FCI now take on SBT in the first semis while ONGC lock horns with BSNL in second semi-finals today at GCA ground, Porvorim.
