PANJIM: A hat-trick by Ali helped Santa Cruz Cavelossim humble Goan Warriors 5-1 to stormed into the semi-finals of Airtel Beach Football Challenge, at Calangute beach, Sunday.
Santa Cruz Cavelossim boys were in complete control of the game from the beginning and at lemon break were leading 1-0.
Shashank gave Santa Cruz Cavelossim the lead in the very first minute of play.
Crossing over, Goan Warriors started on an offensive note and Sarvesh brought the team on the level terms.
Stunned Santa Cruz Cavelossim regrouped quickly and Ali pumped in three consecutive goals to give his team a 4-1 margin.
Later, Ali was well-supported by Gaurish, who scored the fifth goal.
