PANJIM: Sporting Club of Davorlim booked quarter-finals berth in 2nd Jose memorial all-Goa inter-village football tournament, organised by Curtorim gymkhana, defeating Wilred Leisure Sports Club 3-0, at Curtorim ground, Wednesday.
Davorlim opened their account in the 18th minute through the boots of Meclon Colaco with his powerful left footer from 20-yard shot.
Davorlim doubled the lead in the 16th minute through Cliton Niasso, after receiving a long diagonal pass from left flank from Vincent Colaco to net in.
Davorlim sealed the scoreboard with their third goal. Joe Gomes after receiving the ball from Milagres Figueriedo nicely placed the ball into the net after dribbling past on coming Wilred goalkeeper Custodio Peixote.
Wilred Leisure have to blame their strikers and centre-halfs, who were all out of form.
