UTORDA: Sporting Cub Davorlim edged past Don Bosco Oratory, Fatorda, 2-1 to advance into the quarter-finals of the Lourdes festival All-Goa inter-village soccer,, at SAG ground, Utorda, on Tuesday.
in the 3rd minute of the match, Davorlim took an early lead through Agnelo Colaco powerful header from a well placed pass made by Paxton Gomes.
Few minutes later, Don Bosco Oratory missed two golden opportunities in the 21st minute through Joel Colaco who missed to score while in the 27th minute Velton D’Souza missed target by few inches.
SC Davorlim should have netted the second in the 44th minute through Daniel Colaco’s powerful left footer but the ball hit the cross bar and went out of play.
In the 68th minute, Paxton Gomes doubled the lead for Davorlim, while Necial Lopes reduced the margin for DBO in the dying minutes.
