RAIA: Sporting Club Davorlim triumphed over Sinquerim Sports Club, 3-1, to advance to the quarterfinals of the Our Lady of Merces inter-village football tournament, organised by Sirlim Sports Club and played at Chinchinim Church ground, on Tuesday.
Sporting Club Davorlim took an early lead in the 3rd minute with Sahil Inamdar’s powerful right-footed shot, leaving Sinquerim’s keeper Avin with no chance.
Delton Colaco extended the lead in the 37th minute with a pass from Ajay Raj. William Niasso further secured the victory for Sporting Club Davorlim by scoring the third goal.
Sinquerim Sports Club’s Sahil Pawar managed to reduce the deficit in the final minute of the game.
