RUMBA-CURTORIM: Sporting Club of Virabhatt shot-out Ecklatt Sports Club B 5-3 via the tie-breaker to move into the quarter-finals of the Rumba United Curtorim inter-ward football tournament organised by Rumba United, at St Alex church ground, Curtorim, on Sunday.
In regular time both the teams played attacking football.
In the second half, Virabhatt’s Lourdes Fernandes shot the ball straight into the Ecklatt net from a corner-kick in the 35th minute to open the account.
Josley Hilario came with a powerful volley to equalise in the 45th minute.
In the tie-breaker, Lourdes Fernandes, Jovitto Castanha, Levon Castanha and Sydney Fernandes scored for SC Virabhatt while Freddy Hilario and Melwin Hilario scored for Ecklatt Sports Club.
