NACHINOLA: Scan Nachinola defeated Sateri Sports Club, Chimbel 6-5 via the tie-breaker to lift the Bom Jesus trophy, organised by Scan Club Nachinola, at Nachinola church ground.
Just a minute before lemon break, Sateri Sports Club took the lead through Akilesh Naik who from just inside the18 yards box placed the ball at far corner of the net.
In the dying minutes of the match, Nachinola got the equaliser from the corner kick taken by Siddesh Kesarkar which was well judged and headed in by David Fernandes.
In the tie-breaker, Vicky, Siddesh, Jordy, Jordon and Noel scored for Nachinola while Steven, Akilesh, Akshay and Ashley scored for Sateri SC.
The winners were awareded a cash prize of Rs 10,000 plus trophy while runners up received a cash prize of Rs 5,000 plus trophy.
