CALANGUTE: Dunes Sports Club, Mandrem scored a solitary goal victory over PVC Association, Parra to move into the quarter-finals of all-Goa inter-village Nerul Soccer 2013, organised by Nerul Sports Club, at Nerul ground, Tuesday.
In an evenly contested match, the teams came close to scoring on couple of occasions in the first half but their forwards failed to find the net.
Changing over, Mandrem forged ahead in the 40th minute through Sectus D’Souza. Trailing by a goal, Parra went all out in search of the equaliser but a goal eluded them.
