PANJIM: Sensei Mahendra Naik secured ‘AKF’ (Asian Karate Federation) Judge B certification as a karate official. The exam was held at Kotakinabalu, Malaysia.
Mahendra is the first Goan to be certified as an official by the Asian Karate Federation (AKF), which is a historic and a proud moment for the Karate fraternity in Goa. He joins an elite group of AKF officials in India, under the banner of Karate Association of India.
Mahendra owed his success to the President of Traditional Karate Association of Goa (TKAG) Suraj Caculo. “I am totally indebted to Sensei Suraj Caculo for giving me this opportunity to prove my capabilities. Without his support, this would not have been possible.”
