MAPUSA: Sesa Football Academy scored a well deserved 2-0 win over St Christopher SC Tivim in the GFA’s U-16 league match played at Sanquelim ground, on Friday.
Sesa struck once in each half where Sirdhnath Naidu gave them the lead in the 20th minute of play.
Crossing over Omkar Shetgaonkar doubled the lead in the 70th minute of play. St Christopher tried to get back into the game but they couldn’t beat the rival defence.
In another match played at Cansaulim ground, Portais Sporting Club got a walk over as their opponents Velsao Pale Sports Club failed to report at the venue. The lone referee at the venue declared a walk over at 4.30 p.m. after waiting for the team for several minutes. This leaves Portais SC with a win and three points from Velsao Pale SC.
