SANQUELIM: Sesa Football Academy boys piped SAI Training Centre 1-0 to register their third win out of three matches in the GFA U-16 First Division League played at Sanquelim ground, on Thursday.
Just before the referee could blow the whistle for half time, SAI Training Centre defender Sarkar mistimed his tackle on SFA striker Ranjit Tete.
The referee signalled for a penalty straight away. The spot-kick was converted by SFA defender Sanjoy. SFA won its third game of the season after defeating Sporting Club De Goa and Churchill Brothers SC.
Meanwhile, FC Goa scored four past Sporting Clube de Goa, at Chowgule Ground, Fatorda. Rayan Menezes netted a brace while Reyes Cruz and Davis Fernandes scored a goal each for the winners.
At Dramapur ground, Dempo SC hit nine past Churchill Brothers. Shreyash Naik scored five and Sairon Albuquerque netted a brace. Naythan Coutinho and Topon Mirj were the other goal scorers for Dempo SC.
