DABOLIM: Sesa FA held Salgaocar SC 1-1 in the GFA Under -18 First Division League match played at the TB Cunha Sports Complex, Cansaulim.
Sesa FA Latish Mandrekar rescued his team with a late equaliser in the second half cancelling Clifton Barbosa’s first half strike.
Salgaocar FC displayed urgency to win with the lads starting of the match on the right note put Sesa FC against their back.
With Salgaocar dominating, could not find the target. Thy had to wait till the 42nd minute when Clifton Braganza’s effort found the net putting his team ahead before half time.
Crossing over, Sesa FA started off well but Salgaoncar SC did not take long to control the opponents with brilliant defence.
It was Latish Mandrekar then who rescued his team with a late equaliser of the run of play in the 73 rd minute getting Sesa back into the game.
With scores levelled 1-1, both teams tried to find the winner but couldn’t find the nets despite opportunities coming their way.
