RAIA: SFX Camarxett got the better of Fondegal SC, 8-7, via the tie-breaker to move in the quarterfinals of Late Roque fernandes memorial 9-a-side football tournament, organised by Fondegal Sports Club and played at St Alex Church ground, Curtorim, on Monday.
In the first session of play, Mario of fodegal shoot from the top of the box hit the cross bar and went away in the 20th minute. Just before half time, Maldini scored the goal to give lead for Fondegal.
In second session of play, Camarxett regroup quickly and find the equaliser in the 40th minutes of play through Anslem and made way for penalty shootout.
In resultant tie-breaker, SFX Camarxett proved to be better shooters Pritam Dhamaskar was awarded man-of-the-match by Alex Dias.
