MAPUSA: SFX High School, Siolim edged past Our Lady of Mount Carmel High School, Arambol 6-5 to enter the semi-final of under-14 boys North District Subroto Mukerjee inter-school football tournament, at Tivim ground, on Thursday. The teams were locked 2-2 at full time.
Prakshay Simepuraskar and Vidit Simepuraskar scored for the Siolim school in the first session while Austin Rodrigues scored for Arambol before the break and then inspired his team with a second goal after changing ends to force a penalty shoot-out.
However, SFX Siolim proved to be better shooters as Prakshay, Vidit, Ajay Pednekar and Jhonson Pereira calmly scored from the spot-kick. Austin, Pratham Sarji and Manuel Rodrigues converted for Arambol.
