RAIA: Shannon Veterans downed Black Arrow Veterans 2-0 to earn a spot in the semi-finals of All Goa Clement Memorial Veterans football tournament organised by Youth of Fatrade at Varca ground, on Thursday.
The match began with both teams exhibiting a fast-paced and evenly matched performance.
The second half saw Shannon Veterans dominating and Former East Bengal captain and international player Alvito D’Cunha Alvito finally scoring in the 35th minute.
Black Arrow Veterans moved their team forward looking for an equaliser and taking this advantage Ricardo Carvalho scored the second goal and eventually sealing the win with a goal in the dying minutes.
The semi-finals will be played on April 1 and 2.
