MAPUSA: Sharada Mandir Tiswadi got the better of Dnyaprasarak Vidyalaya Bardez 21-11, 21-17 to emerge victorious in the Boys North District U-17 Badminton tournament, organised by Directorate of Sports and Youth Affairs played at Peddem Grounds here on Tuesday.
St Xavier’s bagged the third place.
In the girls’ section, Sharada Mandir Tiswadi defeated Holy Family High School Porvorim 21-3, 21-7 and Progress High School Bicholim finished third.
The winners and runners-up now qualified for state level.
