PANJIM: Sharada Mandir, Miramar and Dr KB Hedgewar HS won their respective encounters of the Goa Cricket Association U-14 President’s Cup, held at SAG ground, on Friday.
While Sharada Mandir registered a 100-run win over Don Bosco HS, Panjim, Dr KB Hedgewar beat Auxilium HS by massive 152 runs.
In the first match, electing to bat first, Sharada Mandir scored 203 for the loss of six wickets in allotted 40 overs. Harsh Sharaf (81) was the top scorer. In reply, Don Bosco were bundled out for 104 in just 24.4 overs. Harsh Sangevkar (3/39) was the pick of Sharada Mandir bowlers.
In the other match, batting first, Dr Hedgewar HS scored 222 for the loss of eight wickets in the allotted 40 overs.
Manish Kakode scored a brilliant 113 off 128 balls for the winners. His knock included 19 boundaries. Santosh Pal (4/28) bowled well for Auxilium school.
In reply, Manish Kakode showed his brilliance with the ball as well as the centurion then picked four wickets giving away 30 runs along with Rohan Vadyekar hat-trick with the figures of 4 for 12 that saw the Taleigao school bundled out for just 70 runs in 12.5 overs.
