PANJIM: Sharada Arondekar of Pernem emerged winner of the All Goa Single Wicket Tennis Ball Cricket Championship, organised by Goa Tennis Ball Cricket Association & Antruz Art & Sports Academy, defeating Clency Fernandes in the final at Ponda Sports complex, Ponda, recently.
Deesha Kambli bagged the best fielder award while best batsman award was won by Pradnya Pednekar, Pernem. Panjim’s Akshada Naik was named the best bowler.
Jyoti Patil, Ponda and Amisha Shetgaokar, Pernem bagged the awards for the highest totals. Kritika Gaonkar, Bicholim was named the most unlucky player.
Sanjeev Gadkar, IAS, Goa gave away the prizes to the winners and runners-up in the presence of Sandhya Paliekar, Club vice president, Haresh Parsekar, Ajinkya Naik, Shyam Sunder Aier, Hemant khot and others.
