PORVORIM: Skipper Shikha Pandey scored a dominant 92 not out off 76 balls to help Goa eves crush Bengal by 8 wickets in the Senior Women’s T20 League (2017-18), at the GCA Academy ground, here.
Choosing to field, Rupali Chavan bagged two wickets while Yetrekar Sunanda and Nikita Malik claimed a wicket each as Goa produced a disciplined bowling effort to restrict Bengal to 123 for 4.
Deepti (42) was the top scorer for visitors followed by Mandira Mahapatra (28) and Tanusree Sarkar (21).
Later, chasing the total, Goa hardly faced any trouble as Shikha (92 not out) set a platform for the team with the help of Yetrekar Sunanda (12) and Nikita Malik (14 n.o) to score a comfortable win.
