Shipe stars for GUSA; Anjuna win

Shipe Sandeep netted five goals to round off a splendid display as Goa United Sports Academy defeated ABC Sports Club, Arambol 13-1 in GFA’s U-16 League at Poriat ground, Calangute on Sunday. Goa United led 9-0 at the lemon break.
Megan Silveira and Alister Fernandes scored a brace each while teammates Clifton Fernandes, Agnelo Fernandes, Alwin D’Sousa and Manuel Fernandes were also on target for Goa United.
Austin Rodrigues punted in a consolation goal for Arambol.
At Anjuna Gymkhana ground, Anjuna fought back from a goal down to snatch all three points after they overcame Dunes Sports Club 2-1.
Avaristo opened the scoring for Dunes with a firm shot which gave the Anjuna goalkeeper little chance of saving.
After the breather, Anjuna got their act together. First Rama Parsekar headed in to equalise after the Dunes custodian failed to gather.
The second goal was even more special as Satguru Takatkar played a wall pass before finishing cleanly giving Anjuna victory.
