Shirgal Sports Club (Goa) scored a resounding 3-1 sets victory over Karnataka State Police in the 1st all-India volleyball tournament organised by Shirgal Sports Club at Dhargal Panchayat court, Pernem.
The Goa team packed with five international players gave a powerful display of precision smashing and superb defensive play as they rallied to beat the policemen 20-25, 25-23, 25-15, 25-20 in a thrilling affair.
South Central Railway (SCR) beat MEG, Bangalore 25-23, 12-25, 23-25, 25-15, 15-13 in the other match. Both semi-finals will be played on Friday.
