AGASSAIM: The 1st All Goa 8 Ball Pool Championship held at Masters Club Agassaim kicked off on August 17.
The tournament showcased talent from all over Goa and drew over 100 players.
Shrayesh Pednekar from Ponda, state champion in 6 red snooker who represented Goa at the 2019 Nationals, displayed a spectacular game and won the final 4-2.
Runner-up Santosh Sharma who knocked out Suleman Shaikh, the top seed, in the 2nd round, received the player of the tournament accolade. Rahul Talkar from Porvorim and Camilo Fernandes from Chandor were the other semifinalists.
Nikhil Gaus, Soham Surlikar, Mohiddin Shaik and Clifton Miranda reached the quarterfinals of the tournament organised by Gandhar Naik, Vinay Naik , Kailash, Raju Devgekar, Joseph Vales and Latesh Naik. Chief guests were Prakash Naik, Samiulla Khan, Rajendra Naik and Sharada Harijan.
