Shree Nagesh Maharudra beat Nauxim SC; Sateri SC, Ronit SC share the spoils

PANJIM: Shree Nagesh Maharudra Sports and Cultural Club registered a fluent 4-0 win over Nauxim Sports Club in the Goa Football Association Second Division League at Agassaim ground, on Thursday.

After a neutral game in the first 30 minutes, Shree Nagesh Maharudra surged ahead in the 32nd minute through Mayur Vernekar as they led 1-0 at the breather.

In the second half, it was once again Mayur, who scored in the 60th minute for Shree Nagesh Maharudra to consolidate their lead.

In the final quarter of the game, Vinay Fatardekar and Yogesh Mashelkar scored a goal each to take the final goal tally to four goals.

Meanwhile in another match at Taleigao ground, Sateri Sports Club and Ronit Sports Club shared the spoils in four-goal thriller.

Sateri SC started the match on the front foot and deservingly lead at the break with a goal scored by Kartik Shirodkar.

In the second half, Sateri scored their second in the 52nd minute through Aniket Adkonkar.

However, Ronit SC didn’t give up and continued to press in search of goals and scored in the 56th minute through Antonio D’Costa in the 56th minute.

In the last 10 minutes of the game, Sateri fumbled as they conceded the second goal which was scored by Ronit’s Sagar Faterpekar. The match ended 2-2.
