PANJIM: Sidhi Thali and Shanti Manjrekar from the Directorate of Art & Culture won 4 medals which include two gold and a silver medal at the First National Women’s Masters Athletic Championship was recently organized at the Athletic Stadium, Cujira – Bambolim.
Around 737 women Athletes participated in this championship from 22 states of the country.
Sidhi Thali won a gold medal in javelin throw and a silver medal in discuss throw event. Shanti Manjrekar claimed gold medal in group relay race while she stood forth in the walking event.
Puja Shirodkar, Lucy D’Costa, Sujata Kepkar, Manasi Bandodkar and Maria Gurjao were the other employees of Directorate of Art & Culture who participated in the championship.
Director of Art & Culture Gurudas P. Pilarnekar, Deputy Director Ashok Parab and other officials and staff of Directorate of Art & Culture congratulated . Sidhi and Shanti on their success.
