CHANDOR: Signals Chandor defeated Kumborda Boys Curtorim 4-3 via the tie-breaker to clinch the 15th Seamen Cup, organised by Villa Marex Boys, in Chandor, on Sunday.
In a closely fought contest, Godfrey netted for Kumborda Boys with a placement shot in the 20th minute while in the second half Ryan equalised with a curler in the 48th minute.
The scoreboard read 1-1 at full-time.
In the resultant tie-breaker Signals netted through Rayan, Rovan and Presley while for Kumborda Boys Raju and Godfrey were on target.
The winners were awarded Rs 62,000 while the runners-up grabbed Rs 46,000 plus trophies.
Chief guest Fr Mario Noronha gave away the prizes to winners and runners-up in the presence of ZP member Meenakshi Gaonkar, Sarpanch of Chandor Celina Furtado, club officials and other dignitaries.
