DRAMAPUR: Sao Jose de Areal thrashed St Anthony SC, Assolda 4-0 to move into the quarter-final of the 40th St Joseph Festival football tournament, organised by Dramapur SC at Dramapur ground on Sunday.
Silvester Carvalho was brilliant for his team as he scored two goals to send his team in the last eight.
Sao Jose de Areal started the match on the front foot and dominated the play but failed to score in the first half.
Crossing ends, Sao Jose opened the scoring in the 50th minute through Tennyson Alviton Silva doubled the lead in the 60th minute before Silvester Carvalho scored the brace. He netted in the 65th and 67th minute for the winners. The Assolda strikers failed to convert their chances.
