PANJIM: Siolim Boys edged past Pasa Boys, Vaddem 3-2 via the penalty shoot-out to emerge champions of 2nd All-Goa Pomburpa–Olaulim Panchayat Cup football organized by Augustias Sporting Club in association with Village Panchayat Pomburpa–Olaulim, at Augustias chapel grounds, Golna, Pomburpa, on Sunday. In the ensuing tie-breaker, Siolim Boys kept their cool and had the last laugh. Siolim were awarded Rs 15,000 and the winner’s trophy while Pasa Boys had to be content with Rs 10,000 and the runners-up trophy.
Parish priest of Mother of God church, Pomburpa Fr Diogo D’Souza was the chief Guest and gave away the prizes in the presence of guest of honour and Deputy Sarpanch Berta Almeida, Gokuldas Halankar and Dananjay Pednekar.
