Siolim Sodiem hold Sesa FA

MAPUSA: Siolim Sodiem SC fought gallantly to hold Sesa FA to a 1-1 draw in GFA’s Third Division league, played at Duler stadium, on Wednesday.

Rishiraj B opened the account for Sesa lads in the very second minute of the match.

When it looked that the Sesa lads were on their way to victory the rivals Siolim Sodiem equalised in the 93rd minute through Vaibhav Pednekar to make it 1-1.

At DSYA Tuem grounds: Badem United pipped ABC Sports Club by a solitary goal. The all important goal for the winners came in the 32nd minute through Frazer Martins

At Chandor ground: Rumdamol SC were first to break the deadlock in the 23rd minute. However, Regan Costa equalized just before the breather. Rumdamol suffered a blow when Velanco Miranda received marching orders for his second yellow. The teams were tied 1-1 at the break.

In the second half, Rumdamol SC and Deao SC saw their players shown straight red. Rehan Narango of Rumdamol and Rashal of Deao were sent off. Regan scored his second in the next minute to put Deao SC ahead and then completed his hat-trick in stoppage time.

At Rosary ground, Navelim: Sirvodem SC defeated Margao SC 3-1. Hritesh Velop, Jayson Miranda and Feroz Hussain scored for the winners. Mario Noronha netted for Margao SC.

At Quitula ground, Sirsaim: SWC and FC Sanquelim played out a thrilling 3-3 draw.  Vismay Daware and Rohit Parsekar scored early in the game to put Sirsaim ahead. However, Saidatt Hanjunkar pulled a goal back for FC Sanquelim in the 25th minute. Vismay consolidated the lead and kept the two-goal cushion scoring in added time.

In the second half, FC Sanquelim put up a better show and scored two goals through Omkar Naik and Praven Karekar to make the score 3-3. The equalizer was scored in added time.

At Nerul ground: Nerul Sports Club defeated Verem United 2-1. Vignesh Pednekar and Ajay Naik scored for the winners while Sarfaraz pulled a goal back for the losing side.
