MARGAO Sirlim Sports Club registered a fluent 3-1 win over Cortalim Gymkhana to romp into the semi-final of GFA Under-14 play off at Cansualim Sports Complex, on Monday. Sirlim Sports Club led 1-0 at the break.
Sirlim held upper hand in both the sessions and surged ahead in the 15th minute when striker Stanley Fernandes slotted past rival goalkeeper with snap shot off a well measured cross from Selvon Fernandes.
Changing over, Sirlim continued in same vein with Ashwin Fernandes doubling the lead with stiff grounder from Selvon Fernandes. Desmond Fernandes drove the last nail into rival coffin.
At SAG Ground, Assolna, Betalbatim Sporting Club eke out spirited Guardian Angel Sports Club, Curchorem 1-0.
