MAPUSA: Unbeaten Sirvodem Sports Club registered a hard fought solitary goal win over Goa United Sports Academy in the GFA-Vedanta Women’s League played at Duler Stadium, Mapusa, here on Wednesday.
The all important goal came in the 59th minute from the boots of Vinoshka Fernandes.

Goa United eves came with up a marvelous performance in the encounter after they were humiliated in their first leg meeting where they were drubbed by Sirvodem 9-1 margin. Credit also went to GU keeper Rhea Noronha who time and again came to her team’s rescue to keep the score sheet to just a goal.
However all the heroics from the keeper came to a halt in the 59th minute when Sirvodem skipper Nevilla Colaco got into the area and squared the ball to Vinoshka Fernandes, who scored past the rival keeper.
