Six ISL stars bolster GFA selections

PANJIM: The Goa Santosh Trophy camp has been boosted with as many as six star footballers who recently donned colours for their respective teams in the recently concluded Indian Super League.

PANJIM: The Goa Santosh Trophy camp has been boosted with as many as six star footballers who recently donned colours for their respective teams in the recently concluded Indian Super League. 
Laxmikant Kattimani, Romeo Fernandes (FC Goa), Rowilson Rodrigues (Mumbai City FC), Denzil Franco (Atletico de Kolkata), Peter Carvalho (Kerala Blasters FC) and Francis Fernandes (Delhi Dynamos FC) are part of the 26 players shortlisted by the Goa Football Association which have to report to coach Alfred Fernandes on January 25, at Rosary sports complex, Navelim, at 7.30 a.m.
The other players include Tyson Caiado, Aliston Fernandes, Mohammed Ali, Stanly D’Silva, Elvis Baretto, Shallom Pires, Mario Mascarenhas, Nickson Castanha, Valerio Rodrigues, Velito D’Cruz, Richard Costa, Beevan D’Mello, Milagres Gonsalves, Agnelo Colaco, Samson Fernandes, Savio Quadros, Caitan Viegas, Joaquim Carvalho, Rayman Fernandes and Bonny Niasso.
Goa last clinched the coveted trophy in the 2008-09 season.
