Asmon Vegas was the brainchild on the forefront moves, while Stewart Costa was yet another gem in the plate for Salcete FC as he scored double hat-trick for the winners.
The partnership of Asmon and Stewart wreaked havoc on Don Bosco . The diminutive Asmon was breathtaking on the ball with some exquisite passes of which Stewart reaped the rewards.
The teams were held in a 2-2 draw in the first half.
Salcete FC opened the scoring through Iceson Carvalho who scored after just six minutes.
Don Bosco responded immediately as they equalised in the very next minute through Zubeer Syed.
Don Bosco in fact managed to race away to the lead through Michael Dias. Salcete however managed to find the equalizer in the 34th minute through Stewart.
Salcete were in complete control and they started scoring goals one after the other. Stewart scored all the five goals, thus completing his double hat-trick
At Quitula ground, Quitula SC beat Candolim SC 1-0. Aryan Pawar scored for Quitula in the 66th minute off Mackenzie Fernandes’ assist.
At Batim ground, Dempo SC beat Fr Agnel, Pilar 2-0. Necio Fernandes and Sheldon Fernandes scored for the Golden Eagles.
