CALANGUTE (HC) — Nagoa Sporting Club thrashed Sao Minguel, Taleigao by a tennis score of 6-1 to move into the semi-finals of Rama Naguesh Shirodker memorial soccer tournament at Chapora ground, on Thursday.
Nagoa opened the account in the 22nd minute through Gauresh Naik. In the 25th minute, Joaquim Fernandes of Sao Minguel gave Nagoa a comfortable 2-0 lead.
Hardly had the cheers died down, Rajesh Salgaokar added another goal for Nagoa in the 28th minute to take the match away from Sao Minguel.
In the closing stages of the first half, Sunil Nasnodkar scored for Nagoa.
Changing over, Nagoa once again found the mark through Sunil to make it 5-0. Sao Minguel finally pulled one back in the 48th minute through Gavin Araujo.
Stanley Coutinho rounded off the tally in the 55th minute to make it 6-1 for Nagoa.
