CURCHOREM: Smt CT Naik Higher Secondary School from Curchorem won the zone IV U-19 badminton boys championship after defeating Damodar Higher Secondary School from Gudi-Paroda 2-0, at SAG ground, Borimoll, Quepem.
In the first single, Pravin Rathod beat Thomson Cardozo 21-04, and 21-11 points. In the second singles, Chandradeep Naik beat Siddhant Naik 21-11 and 21-17 points. Guardian Angel Higher Secondary School from Curchorem settled for the third place.
In the girls category, S S Angle Higher Secondary School from Mashem, Loliem defeated Damodar HSS, Guddi Paroda 2-0
In the first single, Pranali Gaonkar beat Bushra Shaikh 21-10 and 21-09 points In the second singles Sanchita Sail beat Tamanna Shaikh 21-18 and 21-15 points. Smt CT Naik Higher Secondary School from Curchorem stood at third place.
The tournament was organised by the Directorate of Sports and Youth Affairs.
