MARGAO: Our Lady of Snows HS Raia, Fr Agnel HS Verna and Perpetual Succour Convent HS Navelim stormed into the semi-finals of Salcete Taluka under-14 inter-school football tournament at Manora ground, Raia, Monday.
In the first match, OL of Snows edged out St Jude’s HS, Betalbatim 2-1. Roland Vaz and Aaron Mascarenhas scored for Snows while Alrick D’Cunha reduced the margin for St Jude’s.
Fr Agnel HS, Verna had to wait till the tie-breaker to score a 5-4 win over St Rita’s HS, Maina.
In another match, Perpetual Succour Convent got the better of Bethany Convent HS, Sao Jose de Areal 3-2. Aaron Alvares scored a brace for Perpetual Succour while Travis D’Souza accounted one goal. Clive Costa and Arison Oliviera reduced the margin for Bethany Convent.
Loyola HS registered a comfortable 3-0 victory over Rosary HS, Navelim. Samward Pereira scored a brace while Jolan Gracias rounded off the tally.
