Sodiem Siolim ahead

PANJIM, APRIL 16
Sodiem Siolim registered a 3-1 win over Sinquerim Sports Club to move into the quarter-finals of Sodiem Siolim inter-village soccer tournament organised by Sodiem Siolim Sports and Cultural Association, at St Anthony’s church ground, Siolim, on Friday.  The teams were levelled 1-1 at the breather.
Sinquerim took the lead in the 18th minute when Dattaraj Tari scored through a penalty. In the 22nd minute, Rakesh Vaigankar of Siolim equalised.
Changing over, Mayur Toraskar scored in the 2nd and 17th minutes to complete his brace. 
Earlier, the tournament was inaugurated by Leslie Fernandes. In all, 16 teams are participating.
