Sodiem Siolim Sports Club blanked Nagoa Sporting Club 4-0 to move into the quarter-finals of F&C Trophy 2009 football tournament sponsored by F&C Construction & Estate Developers and organised by Nerul Sports Club at Nerul grounds on Tuesday.
In the first half, it was Nagoa who had the upper hand but they failed to find the net. A good try by Valencio Gonsalves was saved by the Sodiem goalkeeper Kashinath Chodankar.
After a barren first half, it was Sodiem who took the lead in the 2nd minute through Gopal Shirodkar.
Nagoa tried to bounce back into the game but a self goal put them two goals behind Sodiem. In the 28th minute, Chandrakant Shirodker made it 3-0 for Sodiem to take the game away from Nagoa.
In the dying minutes, Clayton Coelho rounded off the tally to make it 4-0 for Sodiem.
