PANJIM: Souter Vaz of Canca, Parra was unanimously elected Honorary Secretary of Western India Football Association (WIFA) of Mumbai at the 70th Ordinary General Meeting of WIFA held at Nagpur recently.
Souter has been elected unopposed for third consecutive time with each term consisting of four years.
Souter Vaz is also the Vice President of Mumbai District Football Association (MDFA). He was also the manager of the Reserve Bank of India, Mumbai football team till he retired.
He is the only Goan to get elected to the post of Honorary Secretary of WIFA after the late Honorary Secretary K Ziauddin who occupied the chair for more than 30 years.
