PANJIM: South Goa shot-out North Goa via the tie-breaker in a veterans exhibition match, organised by Pogo Boys, at Our Lady of Merces church ground, recently.
The match was fast paced with both the sides attacking and firing from all the guns. Allwyn gave the North side the lead in the 10th minute. However the lead was short-lived asas Vishant Pednekar equalised for South Goa.
Both the teams tried their best to find the match-winner but their strikers fumbled with the chances that were created. Both sides were tied on 1-1 at the end of regulation time. In the tie-breaker, South Goa proved to be the better shooters.
India U-16 coach Bibiano Fernandes was the chief guest and gave away the prizes.
