Sporting Clube adopt Sacred Heart HS

PANJIM: In a span of less than 10 days, Sporting Clube de Goa have adopted a third institution as part of their school community grassroots programme. Sacred Heart High School, Anjuna became the latest inclusion, on Friday.

Sacred Heart HS Manager, Fr Thomas Gonsalves thanked SCG President Peter Vaz and CEO Victor Fernandes for his tireless support.
Sporting Clube under-20 player Jesmon Carvalho, who is a former student of the school was present alongwith his senior players Pratesh Shirodkar and Lesten Martins.
Sporting Clube’s General Secretary Edward Noronha said, “The State is currently gripped by the World Cup fever but we want to maintain that enthusiasm right up to the Under-17 World Cup which India will play host to. The SCG programme is a small endeavor taken by our club towards achieving that goal.”
