PANJIM: Sporting Clube de Goa came from behind to beat FC Goa in the Goa Football Association U-14 League First Division at Chowgule ground, on Tuesday.
FC Goa led 1-0 at break with Denell Fernandes scoring the only goal of his side in the fifth minute. In the second half, Sporting Clube de Goa played better football and levelled terms through Kunal Bicoji at the hour mark.
With just four minutes left on the clock, Sporting Clube de Goa scored the match-winner through Jude De Souza.
Meanwhile at Sanquelim, Sesa FA were held by Salgaocar FC in eight-goal thriller (4-4 draw).
Salgaocar FC led 2-0 in the first ten minute with Franson Furtado and Joyston Fernandes scoring for the Greens but Sesa FA came strongly as Mo Shahil scored two quick goals in the span of three minute to restore parity. Salgaocar FC once again took the lead just before the breather through Nikhil Thapa. In the second half Sesa FA attacked from the word go and once against levelled terms through Sendy Mangte before the lad scored his brace and put the academy boys ahead. However, just when it looked like Sesa would walk away with three points, Salgaocar FC came with the equalising goal through Vismay More in the second half injury time.
In the GFA U-14 Second division league at Bicholim ground, Siddeshwar SC made light work of Cunchelim Sports Club with a 5-0 win. Siddeshwar led 3-0 at the break with Devesh Khodginkar netting a fine hat-trick. In the second half, Nikhil Kholkar and Ginjesh Gaonkar scored a goal each for the winners.
At Curtorim ground, Raia Football Club recorded a 5-1 win over Maina Sports Club. Monif Sanches, Chalton Coelho, Sohan Naik, Messi D’Souza and Valentino Fernandes scored for Raia while Crizenal Pereira pulled a goal back for the losing side.
