PANJIM: Sporting Clube de Goa will try to collect three points with home crowd support when they Bharat FC in the Hero I-League at Nehru Stadium, Fatorda, on Saturday, at 4.30 p.m.
Sporting Clube was held by Mumbai FC to a 1-1 draw in their last outing, while Bharat were defeated by Bengaluru FC 0-2 and both teams will be looking to return to winning ways.
Sporting Clube coach Mathew Costa is confident of his side’s chances. “We have been playing well in recent matches, but need to make it count in front of goal. My players have been working hard in training and are well prepared,” remarked Mathew.
Bharat FC Coach Stuart Watkiss is happy to welcome back nearly six faces who missed the last match through injury, while Gourmangi Singh and Ravanan are back from suspension. New Zealand striker Kris Bright has not fully recovered from injury and is a major doubt for Bharat.
