PANJIM: Sporting Clube de Goa have signed Spanish defender Pablo Gallardo for the upcoming season.
Pablo had been part of Sevilla Football Club youth set-up and has plied his trade for the B side of the Spanish club from 2005-2009.
In the last season, he played for Burgos, a Segunda Division B side, i.e. an outfit playing in the third tier of Spanish football. He played 2320 minutes of league football in 2013-14, featuring 26 times in the starting line-up.
Sporting Clube have also decided to retain Boima Karpeh, the Liberian-Australian striker, who was the highest scorer for them in the last edition of the I-League.
