Sporting Clube upbeat against Tuff Laxmi Prasad Sports Club

PANJIM: Sporting Clube de Goa is all set to take on Tuff Laxmi Prasad SC in the 16th round of the Goa Pro League match at Duler Stadium, Mapusa, on Wednesday.

PANJIM: Sporting Clube de Goa is all set to take on Tuff Laxmi Prasad SC in the 16th round of the Goa Pro League match at Duler Stadium, Mapusa, on Wednesday. The kick off is 4 p.m.
Sporting Clube come into this match high on confidence with back-to-back victories against the heavy weights Salgaocar FC and Dempo SC. 
The Flaming Oranje are currently top of the table with 32 points from 15 outings and five points clear of Churchill Bros who have played one match less. On the other hand, Tuff Laxmi Prasad SC are placed sixth in the table with 18 points.
The previous fixture contested between the two sides was late in October which saw Sporting Clube overcome a promising Tuff Laxmi Prasad SC 2-1, riding on goals from Marcus Mascarenhas and talisman striker Odafa Okolie while Newton Azavedo netted one for the Bardez outfit. 
“We will go into this match with a positive frame of mind. The boys are playing well and we need to just stick to our basics,” said Sporting Clube Head Coach, Mathew Costa.
He further went on to add, “The season has shaped up well for us and the boys are self motivated and everyone is doing their bit to contribute.”
“This is the perfect time to up our tempo. The I-League is round the corner and we all are looking forward eagerly. It is very important to maintain the rhythm as the equation is simple, from here on it’s completely in our hands. We either make it or break it,” signed off Mathew.
